After graduation I decided to continue my education and went on to graduate school at the University of Tennessee. After only a year at UT, my advisor accepted a job offer at the University of Sussex in England and asked me to follow him. My husband and I moved to England where we welcomed our son. I recently finished my Ph.D. in chemistry and have moved back to the US; I have a passion for teaching and wish to pursue a career in academia.

During my time at the University of Sussex I taught workshops for General Chemistry I, II and III as well as Numeracy Skills for Scientist. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
