ACCESSIBLE K–8 REMOTE TUTORING
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology, which gave me a strong foundation in critical thinking and problem-solving. More importantly, I specialize in breaking complex ideas down into simple, manageable steps and explaining them in ways that truly make sense. I am currently a toddler mom and substitute teacher, and I’m passionate about providing accessible, low-cost online tutoring and educational support.
Over the past decade, I’ve worked with children in a variety of informal educational settings, including nature centers, zoos, and community programs. These experiences involved teaching groups of different ages and learning styles, and adapting lessons to be engaging, approachable, and effective.
As a tutor, I focus on helping elementary and middle school students build confidence and understanding in reading, math, and science. I support reading comprehension, early literacy, foundational math skills, and homework reinforcement, always emphasizing the “why” behind what they’re learning. My approach is calm, patient, and encouraging, with a focus on helping students feel capable, supported, and ready to succeed.
