**LOW COST K-8 REMOTE TUTORING**
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, which gave me a strong foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and understanding how people learn complex ideas step by step. While my formal degree is in science, much of my strength as a tutor comes from my ability to break concepts down into manageable pieces and explain them in multiple ways until they truly make sense. In the present I am a toddler mom, a substitute teacher, and I would love to provide low-cost online tutoring and educational coaching. I have witnessed
Over the past decade, I have worked in a variety of informal educational roles with children, primarily at the elementary level. My background includes delivering educational programs, outreach presentations, and hands-on learning activities through nature centers, zoos, and community organizations. These experiences required me to teach groups of children with different ages, learning styles, and confidence levels, and to adapt lessons so they felt approachable, engaging, and understandable.
As a tutor, I focus on helping elementary students build understanding and confidence, particularly in reading, math and science. I support students with reading comprehension, early literacy skills, basic math concepts, and homework reinforcement, with an emphasis on understanding the “why” behind what they are learning. My approach is calm, patient, and conversational, and I prioritize reassurance and guided practice for students who feel anxious, discouraged, or behind. My goal is not only to support academic growth, but to help students feel capable, confident, and prepared to move forward in their education.
