English major/ACT/SAT Tutoring, experience with Learning Disabilities

I am currently receiving my degree in Literature and Culture at Carnegie Mellon University. My primary area of specialty is in English but I also specialize in ACT/SAT exam prep. I received a perfect ACT score in the Reading and English section and an overall 32 ACT score. I also have experience in a volunteer setting with elementary and middle school children. I am comfortable tutoring in all areas for elementary and middle school children. These experiences have equipped me with a wide range of teaching techniques tailored to students of varying ages and skill levels. Whether I’m assisting students in a classroom setting or tutoring one-on-one, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and enthusiasm for learning.

Throughout my academic career, I’ve developed a deep understanding of literary concepts and writing techniques that I’m eager to share with students. My studies have not only enhanced my knowledge but have also sharpened my ability to explain complex topics in ways that are accessible and engaging for learners at all levels.

I employ a student-centered approach to teaching. I focus on identifying each student's unique learning style, adapting my methods to ensure that they feel confident and well-prepared. Additionally, as a person with Learning Disabilities my self, I offer a unique perspective in tutoring those with Learning Disabilities or other academic challenges.
