Hi, I am Shakti. I hold a PhD, master's and bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering. Teaching is a passion of mine and Mathematics is what keeps me motivated in my career and personal life. I have mostly been a volunteer teacher for middle and high school students in my area and have preferred 1-1 teaching sessions for a dedicated development of their capabilities. I have also been a teaching assistant for professors during my master's and doctoral research, where I taught graduate level courses on fluid mechanics and numerical methods.

I am proficient in Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry through K-12, and also in getting students prepared for SAT/ACT. I like to understand where my students stand in their knowledge of different mathematical concepts and adapt my approach of teaching in terms of pace and delivery to their best advantage. I then follow up with appropriate assignments that I prepare to gauge the progress made by my students on the topic as well as their approach to solve the problem. I am also flexible in my approach to teaching where I can make myself available at a higher frequency and as per the schedule that fits my students, if I notice they need more attention or support. Additionally, I am able to provide one off sessions such as for help with homework or build a tailored learning plan for a continued long-term development on a particular topic.
