I am a dedicated and goal-driven professional with over 15 years of experience in higher education, specializing in teaching Spanish and supporting faculty development. I hold advanced degrees, including a Master’s in International Management and a Master’s in the Teaching of Languages with an emphasis in Spanish. My passion for education and cultural exchange has guided my work in both traditional and online classrooms.
Since 2008, I’ve served as a Professor and Spanish Program Coordinator at Prairie State College, where I also lead faculty development efforts and represent the college in study abroad programs. In addition to my full-time role, I’ve taught as an adjunct professor at several colleges across Illinois, helping students of all levels grow their language skills and cultural awareness through dynamic, technology-integrated instruction.
Fluent in Spanish, I bring a global perspective to my teaching, shaped by study abroad experiences in Spain, Mexico, and Costa Rica, as well as travel to numerous other countries. I strive to create inclusive, engaging learning environments that not only teach language, but also promote cross-cultural understanding and real-world application.
