I am currently enrolled, and will be starting classes this fall, in the masters of Public Affairs at Indiana University-Bloomington O'Neill School. Given the academic disciplines I come from, I have exceptional experience with argumentative writing and research based writing.
My road in education was unorthodox. During my gap year after I graduated from UK I applied, and was accepted, into Teach For America 2019 Corps. My region was the Greater New Orleans Area where I taught 9th grade English as a lead teacher. I worked directly and independently with 60-70 students per year divided into 3 classes. During the school year I taught Spring Board Curriculum that is in accordance to the Louisiana state standards for 9th grade english. To name a few area we covered: Narrative writing, literary analysis writing, research-based writing, identify figurative language and theme.
