I grew up in Lithuania capital - Vilnius. I did my undergrad in Vilnius conservatory and masters as well in piano performance. I did a lot of accompanying for instrumentalists and singers an he a few private students. I was awarded full scholarship for all 5 years of studies under professor Karosaite.
When I came to Bloomington I was accepted to be the school of music doctorate program, and I studied under professor Hokanson and professor Baker.
I taught piano at the private school for 20 years. My students became music and theater majors and continue the o love and perform music

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have Doctorate in music - DM in piano performance a d minor in music theory and jazz from Jacobs School of musica. I taught students for 25 years and many of them chose music career. I teach each student according to his or her needs and aspirations. You will enjoy lessons in a perfectly designed studio.
I took drawing lessons for 6 semesters at the school of art. All together I am qualified to have masters in applyed art. I love yo draw different subjects and I practice my drawing skills every day.
Students can use pencils, charcoal, pen, pastels and anything you can draw with. We will use a simple drawing paper or special pastel paper of your choice.
We will be going out to nature to draw and we will definitely draw your favorite objects as well.
I have been painting since I was 3 years old. At school i have taken paining course and at the university level I have taken 36 credit hours in oil painting. I won numerous awards at the TCSteele paint out competitions and had exhibitions of my painting in US and in Europe.
I give a choose to students for their preferred medium and we concentrate on technical knowledge oh thre medium and support. Also during the lesson well discuss on what works and what does not work in terms of grouping, selection of scene and focal point.
We will have lessons outside of the studio as well for painting landscapes and cityscapes. Every week we will have group critique of current students work.
