My name is Arthur, I was born in New Jersey but raised in central Indiana. I’ve always liked being outdoors, playing sports, and meeting new people. Back in high school I was a varsity lacrosse player, and for work I was a math tutor. I worked with a company called Mathnasium for two years instructing students K-12 on Mathnasium’s curriculum and on school curriculum as well. I love to work with kids all ages and have always had a passion for math. My tutoring style is all about using easy to understand word choice, and reminding students how to do the simple version of a problem then going to the more complex version. I also like to use little acronyms and memory tricks so that the tricks I teach for math problems stick for a long time. I’m attending Indiana University this year to study Mathematics on a pre med track, hoping to go to medical school after college.
To add on, I have tutored privately for two years working with friends, family, and classmates. It’s been a fun way to make extra money on the side, and stay up to date on high school subjects. I’m very good with Geometry, Algebra I and II, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and the first semester of Calculus I. At Mathnasium, I even learned to work with dyslexic and ADHD students. Along with my experience is my text scores. I have perfect 800 math score on my SAT, a perfect 36 math score on my ACT, and a perfect 5 on my AP Calc AB exam. Overall, I love tutoring and want to do it online so I can get more sessions, and keep up the job during college.
