Hello families,

Welcome to my Wonderful World of Learning! My name is Ms. Juliann and I am excited to meet all your learners in my classes.

I am currently a fifth grade teacher working with kids of a variety of skills and needs including advanced, learners with special needs, English language learners, who all love to learn. Welcome to my Wonderful World of Learning! My name is Ms. Juliann and I am excited to meet all your learners in my classes.

I hold a valid teaching license in kindergarten-6. I am currently a fifth grade teacher working with kids of a variety of skills and needs including advanced, learners with special needs, English language learners, who all love to learn. I have taught all grades in elementary K-6 in a variety of settings in the past. I am a certified Orton Gillingham (OG) trained teacher as well. I went to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and received a bachelor of science in elementary education with a minor in kindergarten and primary education.

I have been in classrooms for ten years in a variety of settings for grades kindergarten through sixth. I have worked at an AZA (American Zoological Association) zoo for eight years in programming with families, schools, and summer camps and taught with an ESL company online for over a year and virtually tutor one on one and group classes in reading, math, science and art topics.

My favorite part of teaching is watching students grow and achieve. I love to see students get that "AHA" moment when the lightbulb goes off. My goal in teaching is to reach each learner on their level and help them develop and grow stronger in whatever subject they are learning about during class.

I have played the flute for almost 20 years and have recently started giving young musicians lessons. I love to teach elementary ages core subjects because of the variety it give me. I have courses in music and art, reading/ELA, math, science, and social studies. I also offer private lessons for flute, conservation, and core subjects. During our classes, you may notice that I do let learners make mistakes. Many times learners will be able to correct themselves and with gentle assistance when needed, learners are able to improve their abilities in a lifelong way.

I have been a classroom teacher for 15 years. I have had lots of students diagnosed and undiagnosed with ADHD/ADD in person and online for the last five years. I have developed skills and tricks to help these students succeed.

`I enjoy teaching drawing to students online. I use step by step instructions to learn how to draw some of kids favorite characters and animals. Some of my favorite characters to draw are Disney/Marvel/Star Wars characters.

I have taken a forty hour training in OG implementation. I am familiar with and use phonemic awareness skills utlizing the Heggerty program as well as OG programming for spelling skills. I have used these programs for over 5 years.

I have taught all grades K-6th grade in person, including students that are neurodivergent, gifted, on grade level, low preforming, special education, ESL/ENL, etc. I have been in the classroom for 15 years. I am trained in OG and Heggerty. I have experience in both in person and online using these programs to develop fluent readers and spellers. The skills learned with these for phonemic awareness and spelling rules really help students develop a strong understanding in phonics.

I have been a teacher for 15 years in person and online. I love teaching reading and helping students develop reading comprehension skills. Those skills are lifelong and will continue to grow.

I have been teaching online and in person for 15 years. During that time I have worked with all types of learners in both settings. I can easily adapt to learners needs to help them be successful.

I have been working online and in person for 15 years. I am aware of state testing requirements, practice, and skills needed. I can help students become better test takers and learn skills that are required.

I will be teaching history to students in elementary through middle school. I have taught in person and online for 15 years. I teach all types of students and have lots of experience.

I spent 8 years working at an AZA zoo. I spent my time there working with summer camps, school and scout groups, and families for overnight activities. During this time I educated on animal science, conservation, and peoples impact on the world around us. These would be designed for elementary-middle school age students.
