I have over 20 years of experience teaching and supporting upper elementary and middle school students in math, reading comprehension, and test-taking strategies. I also have an Early Literacy Endorsement and am trained in Orten-Gillingham. During the school day, I teach students within the general education classroom in stations and small groups, as well as instruct students in small groups in a separate classroom when necessary/appropriate. I have also tutored outside of school in one-on-one settings.
I specialize in breaking down skills into clear, manageable steps and teaching students how to approach problems--not just get answers. I frequently work with students who need extra structure, confidence, and practical strategies for approaching assignments and assessment tasks.
