¡Hola! I’m an experienced elementary educator with 8+ years of experience teaching in Spanish immersion and bilingual classrooms. I specialize in helping students build confidence and strengthen their Spanish, reading, writing, math, and overall academic skills. I enjoy working with bilingual and heritage Spanish speakers who want to develop their academic Spanish as well.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have provided one-on-one tutoring in Spanish and elementary math taught in Spanish throughout the school year and summer. I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs, interests, and goals, whether they are learning Spanish, maintaining their Spanish skills, or looking for additional academic support in either English or Spanish.

I believe tutoring should be encouraging, engaging, and personalized. I meet students where they are and create lessons that are both structured and fun. Whether your child needs support in English or Spanish, my goal is to help them strengthen their skills while developing confidence as a learner.

I have a B.A. from Brown University and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Stanford University. With my background in elementary education and Spanish immersion, I bring both extensive classroom experience and a passion for helping students succeed. I have extensive experience teaching elementary math and providing individualized support to help students develop strong foundational skills and confidence in mathematics. I have also provided one-on-one math tutoring, including teaching math in Spanish. I can support students with addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement, problem solving, word problems, and other K–5 math concepts. My approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I use clear explanations, visual models, and strategies that help students understand the reasoning behind the math—not simply memorize procedures. My goal is to help each student feel more confident and independent when approaching math.

I have 8+ years of experience teaching elementary students and providing explicit phonics instruction in English. I help students develop strong foundational reading skills by building their understanding of letter-sound relationships, phonemic awareness, decoding, spelling patterns, and word recognition. My approach is structured, engaging, and personalized to each student’s current reading level and needs. I use explicit instruction, modeling, guided practice, and hands-on activities to help students understand how sounds and letters work together rather than relying on memorization alone. I can support students who need additional practice with phonics skills or are having difficulty decoding unfamiliar words. I can also help students strengthen their spelling and word-reading skills as they become more confident and independent readers. With my background in Spanish immersion and bilingual education, I also understand the unique needs of students who are developing literacy in more than one language. Knowledgeable and patient

This was my daughter’s second session with Elizabeth. She enjoyed the lesson thoroughly. After the lesson was over, Elizabeth provided visual key and a packet to practice for my daughter’s quiz which was on point. My daughter is confident about taking the quiz today.
