I graduated from Lake Forest College with a B.S. in Chemistry and Data Science, a degree that put me through heavy coursework in calculus, differential equations, algebra, and statistics on top of the chemistry itself. That combination is a big part of why I have a breadth of knowledge in all of STEM. Before I finished my degree, I published a paper from my own undergraduate chemistry research in Organic Chemistry.
For the past seven years, I've tutored high school students in Algebra I through Calculus AB/BC, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and English at standard, AP, and IB levels, along with a long track record helping students prepare specifically for the SAT and ACT. I've also taught college-level calculus and the full chemistry sequence for students who needed that next step.

My proudest moment as a tutor was helping a student who'd been doing poorly in a subject they hated, simply because their teacher had not been able to convey the concepts clearly, begin to fall in love with it after we'd gone through some sessions together.
