I believe that every student can be successful when they receive instruction that meets their individual needs. As a certified high school special education teacher, I specialize in helping students improve their English, writing, reading comprehension, organization, study skills, and executive functioning. I am entering my third year teaching high school special education, where I co-teach English Language Arts classes, develop and implement IEPs, differentiate curriculum, and work closely with students with a wide variety of learning needs. Before becoming a teacher, I spent several years working one-on-one with individuals with disabilities as both a paraprofessional and caregiver. These experiences have taught me that confidence is just as important as academic skills, and I strive to help students build both.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my Master's degree in Secondary Education with an LBS1 endorsement from Lewis University. I am currently pursuing my PhD in History while teaching full-time. My background allows me to tutor students in English, writing, grammar, reading comprehension, study skills, executive functioning, and history. Whether a student needs help understanding literature, improving essay writing, preparing for exams, or developing better organizational habits, I tailor each lesson to their individual goals and learning style.

My tutoring sessions are encouraging, interactive, and focused on helping students become confident, independent learners. Rather than simply giving answers, I teach strategies that students can continue using long after our sessions end. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and celebrating their progress.
