She was very patient, consistent and reliable and would be a great resource for other students who may find learning Mandarin in college remotely.
When I was in China, I taught university students speech and drama. My speeches and papers won province/state competitions. I passed the official National Proficiency Test of Putonghua (Mandarin) with the 2nd grade, A level. I have the Qualification Certificate for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. After coming to the U.S., I tutored students and adults alike -- everyday Mandarin and complex Mandarin, respectively.

I appreciate L.'s teaching combinations: speaking, listening, and reading. I greatly appreciate her preparing lessons - having slides and using activities while reading texts. She puts in a lot of effor to prepare these slides. Her lessons also come at different levels. She also picks interesting topics to practice conversations, which keep student attention. She corrects your accent which helps with learning Chinese pronunciation. An effective teacher.

Part of teaching is making learning a pleasant experience. Lessons with Ling are enjoyable and instructive, due to her friendly character and excellent preparation. I like the fact she is from China as this gives me an insight into this great civilization.
