Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I am a current undergraduate student at Saint Mary’s College for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I have experienced the skill of tutoring in many formats throughout my years. Some relevant experiences include volunteering for one-on-one tutoring for elementary students in South Bend, teaching a religious education class for kindergarteners, providing one-on-one tutoring through NHS in high school, and working as a teaching assistant for an anatomy and physiology course in college.
Some informal experiences of tutoring I have include training how to educate patients on health subjects in the hospital during clinical and tutoring my younger siblings (4th grade and kindergarten). I am excited not only to be able to teach the subjects that will help your child excel in school, but to also know who they are as a person. This includes their likes and dislikes, their habits, what keeps them focused and how they can have fun while learning!
I am open to in person sessions until August 20th, and am planning on going virtual. Whether it is freshening up on skills during the summer or staying on top of work during the academic year, I promise to be prepared as a tutor so that your child can have the best learning experience that they can have!
