Invaluable elementary tutor for Language Arts

I was a little overwhelmed and not entirely sure what to do when my daughter's first-grade report card identified that she was approaching (not meeting) expectations in Phonological Awareness, Phonics and Word Recognition, Reading Comprehension, Writing, and Language. Yikes! That's why I feel so lucky to have found Christina G. Christina G. has been working with my daughter in-person and online (because of the pandemic) for about three months. I have noticed an improvement in my daughter's reading ability and perhaps more importantly her confidence when it comes to reading new material. If you're looking for an elementary language arts tutor, here's what you can expect when your son or daughter works with Christina. 1. Knowledgable. I found Christina G. to be very knowledgeable about current teaching methods. A good example here are nonsense words. This was not a part of my elementary education, so admittedly I had a hard time understanding the importance of this method. In steps Christina G. armed with teaching materials and practice worksheets which have really helped my daughter improve in this area. 2. Fun and engaging. Christina G. understands it can be difficult for a 7-year old to stay engaged during an hour-long online (or even in-person) tutoring session, so she structures the sessions into smaller "chunks." This really helps my daughter stay engaged and focused for an entire hour even when her friends might be outside playing. It really is amazing! 3. Results. As mentioned, I have noticed an improvement in my daughter's confidence when it comes to reading new materials. Whereas before I would frequently hear from her, "that's too hard for me to read", now she is looking for new books to read so she can tell Mrs. Christina all about them! In short, if you're looking for an elementary tutor for Language Arts, I don't think you can do any better than Christina G.!

Sweet and patient tutor

Christina helps build confidence in learning by being patient and encouraging during sessions. Her feedback has been very helpful. Her experience gives me confidence in her teaching abilities that I haven’t had with other tutors.

Very patient and interactive!

We have just started with Christina! She has done a great job working with my kindergartener. She comes with something new each time, and makes sure she changes activities every 5 minutes to keep my daughter involved. She gives choices so she buys into learning a bit more. And she shows a lot of patience. My daughter is 6 years old.

Amazing Teacher !!

My kid enjoys her session . He literally looks forward to read with her and is more willing to try new concepts with her more than with me or anyone else that I have seen . I know I write this in all my review but we got really lucky to have found her !! .
