Hello! You must be looking at this because you find Physics very challenging. I'd love to help! I have taught various levels of physics to public school students, private school students, homeschoolers and college students for 26 years. For ACT test prep, I've tutored students who have received scores in the 30+ range in math and science. My specialty, though, is advanced high school and introductory college physics (both algebra and calculus-based physics). I currently teach Honors Physics and AP Physics C Mechanics to juniors and seniors in a large suburban high school district near Chicago, and have spent more than 1,000 hours tutoring students one-on-one, either in person or online from across the country. In the past I served as a science department head, and more recently as an instructional coach to science and math teachers, but I eventually came back full-time to the classroom because I find the most enjoyment working directly with students. I have also been overseeing the math development of my four home-schooled children from basic math through pre-calculus. Allow me the opportunity to help you see that physics is not only understandable, but that physics is Phun!

I have taught ACT Math prep for many years, helping several students earn scores in the 30's. I have a systematic process I use to help students acquire ACT Math skills. I often make personal screencasts for students so that they can watch and review concepts as often as they wish.

Very good!

Great Physic Tutor!

Joe is a great physics teacher. I am glad we found him. He definitely has lots of experience and teaches in a way that makes the student feels comfortable. My daughter gain a better understand of speed and velocity in just one lesson. She’s already asking to use him again. I would not hesitate recommending to anyone.

A Real Pro

Our family has relied on a good amount of external tutoring to help gain insight on a subject and improve classroom performance. And I must admit, Joe is the best we have encountered. He’s very responsive and flexible in arranging sessions, but more importantly he is quick to connect with the student and deliver a valuable learning experience. My daughter lacked confidence in her understanding of AP Physics, and after spending time with Joe she now feels confident she’ll figure things out with him and take her grade from an B to an A in the class.

Super flexible

Joe was incredibly flexible with a mildly panicked 10th grader late at night before a physics final. He found a creative way to help her take advantage of his help despite her resistance. And he did it at midnight his timezone. So much, much thanks.

Great Teacher and Communicator

Joe is an excellent tutor. His experience as a professional teacher allows him to have a great ability to communicate concepts to my high school son and anyone else he tutors. My son sometimes will have trouble focusing for long periods of time. However, he can easily go the full hour and often much longer with complete focus and learning ability when working with Joe. Very likable and professional, Joe is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a tutor that likes what he does and is good at it.

Amazing teacher!

After just one lesson with Joe my daughter has a much clearer understanding of her AP physics class. She was really excited with how much she learned and accomplished in just one hour. Looking forward to her next session!

Great discipline

We are relieved that AVIK is following a structured and disciplined approach to Physics set by an experienced professional. Thanks to Joe.

very good instructor

Having registered 3hrs tutoring with Joe through facetime. He gave my son a comprehensive summary on AP physics previewing. He explained the concept in his own way which helped my son with better understanding.

Great tutor

Joe was very quick to respond to our inquiry and was able to get us set up with a time slot quickly. He is super friendly and easy to work with and has flexible hours. My 17 year-old son said Joe was very patient and knowledgeable and he really enjoys working with Joe. He was able to help my son understand the concepts he was struggling with.

Excellent

Excellent tutor, helped me understand lots of concepts that I never have before and prepared me for the test more than I ever could have alone. We covered a ton of material over the span of about a month, and I feel so much better going into the test than I did before.
