I hold a PhD in Physics as well as a bachelor’s degree in physics, and I have more than ten years of experience teaching students at multiple levels. Over the course of my career, I have taught in university classrooms, lab settings, and one on one with students ranging from high school sophomores to college seniors. My teaching has covered everything from introductory mechanics and electricity and magnetism to advanced courses in quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and electrodynamics. This background has given me a deep understanding of where students commonly struggle and how to help them build genuine understanding rather than just memorizing formulas.
My approach to tutoring is patient, step by step, and tailored to each student. I always begin by listening to what a student finds difficult, then I break problems into smaller logical pieces, use diagrams to make abstract ideas concrete, and focus on building physical intuition. I do not believe in simply showing the answer. Instead, I guide students to discover solutions themselves so they gain confidence and skills that last beyond a single exam. Whether a student says they are not a physics person or they are aiming for a top score on an AP or college exam, I adjust my method to fit their learning style and pace.
In addition to my formal teaching experience, I have worked with students who feel anxious or behind in physics, and I have consistently helped them raise their grades and pass difficult courses. I am available for high school physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C, college level algebra based physics, calculus based physics, and even graduate level exam preparation. Outside of teaching, I stay actively engaged with physics because I genuinely enjoy it, and that enthusiasm is something I bring to every session.

Approved Subjects

Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring mathematics at multiple levels, with a strong foundation in the logical and analytical reasoning that underlies discrete mathematics. My expertise covers set theory, logic, proof techniques, combinatorics, graph theory, and algorithms. I have helped students from high school through college navigate the abstract thinking required to succeed in discrete math courses. Whether you're working through proofs for the first time or preparing for a computer science exam, I can break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps.
Earth Science

Earth Science

I hold a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University and have taught across a broad range of natural sciences, giving me a strong interdisciplinary foundation for earth science topics. My expertise spans geology, atmospheric science, oceanography, and the physical processes that shape our planet, including plate tectonics, weather systems, and the rock cycle. I have tutored students at multiple levels, adapting my teaching style to meet each student where they are and build genuine understanding. Whether you're preparing for a standardized test or working through a challenging earth science course, I can help you connect the concepts and succeed.
Environmental Science

Environmental Science

I hold a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University and have taught across multiple scientific disciplines, providing a strong quantitative foundation for understanding environmental systems. My expertise covers topics including ecosystems, climate science, energy flow, pollution, and the physical and chemical processes that drive environmental change. I have worked with students at all levels, helping them connect scientific principles to real-world environmental issues in a clear and engaging way. Whether you're tackling an introductory course or preparing for an advanced exam, I can help you build the analytical skills needed to excel in environmental science.
Quantum Physics

Quantum Physics

I hold a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University and have taught quantum mechanics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. My coursework and research background give me deep familiarity with wave functions, operators, the Schrödinger equation, perturbation theory, and quantum statistics. I have tutored students one-on-one through challenging QM courses, adapting explanations to each student's level. Whether you're tackling your first quantum course or preparing for advanced exams, I can help you build real understanding.
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I have a strong background in advanced mathematics, with the rigorous analytical training that comes with earning a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University. My expertise in real analysis covers limits, continuity, sequences and series, differentiation, integration, and the epsilon-delta proofs that form the backbone of the subject. I have tutored students through some of the most challenging undergraduate mathematics courses, helping them develop the precise logical thinking required to construct and understand formal proofs. Whether you are encountering real analysis for the first time or need help mastering specific theorems, I can guide you through the material with clarity and patience.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I hold a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University and have extensive experience teaching thermodynamics at the university level. My expertise covers the laws of thermodynamics, entropy, heat engines, thermodynamic potentials, and statistical mechanics. I have worked with students ranging from high school to college seniors, helping them master both conceptual understanding and problem-solving techniques. Whether you're struggling with PV diagrams or preparing for a final exam, I can guide you to confidence and clarity.
