Hello, my name is Joel. I am from Peoria Heights, IL. I have been a substitute school teacher ever since the Spring of 2003. Although I have never held a tutoring position, I have substitute-taught in many classes and feel that I have acquired significant experience in the classroom.
My experience in substitute teaching has been mainly at the elementary level including the following subject areas: English, Reading, Phonics, Math, Science, Social Studies, Vocabulary, and Geography.

Mr. Joel has been tutoring both of my boys over the summer, and his impact has been exceptional. He exhibits patience and takes the time to prepare them . My youngest, an 8-year-old in elementary school, and my oldest, entering middle school in 6th grade, have both benefited greatly from his expertise and patience. Mr. Joel even went the extra mile by borrowing a book from the library to read with my oldest, which coincidentally was required for a project to enter 6th grade.
