Medical Resident Experienced with Basic & Medical Sciences

I'm Abaan! I graduated college with a BS in Molecular/Cellular Neuroscience and minors in Biology and Health Systems Management. I went on to complete my MS in Biomedical Science before moving on to medical school and completing my medical degree. I am currently a medical resident and have a continued interest in teaching at all levels of education.

My education and career path have placed me in the uncomfortable situation of "make-it or break-it" tests many times over, so I understand how overwhelming it can be. I have successfully passed (without ever needing to re-test) the ACT, GRE, MCAT, USMLE Step 1 & 2, COMLEX Level 1 & 2, and SHELF exams in all medical subjects. Testing and learning the sciences is not just about learning the material, but understanding how to apply the material in a manner that is memorable. I hope that by working with me, I can pass those skills on to you!

Additionally, I am comfortable with providing feedback for personal statements (college, graduate school, medical school, residency, fellowship). I have reviewed applicants at both the medical school and residency level (including essays) and retain an interest in helping applicants curate their statements.

I am comfortable with: anatomy, biochemistry, biology, genetics, histology, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, physiology (both normal and pathologic), writing (personal statements, essays).

I have experience with (but may need to review prior to our sessions): Algebra, geometry, nutrition, physics.

I do not tutor the following subjects: Calculus, computer sciences, engineering, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry
