For the SAT, we will follow a similar format; however, the tests are slightly different. We will focus on those areas of need to develop your skills to improve your confidence and score.

For the GRE, most adult learners have forgotten general math concepts as well as grammar rules/vocab. We will study this info. Because you want to go to graduate school, you will be motivated to study this material in order to get your Master's Degree.

I have a Bachelors in Psychology. I have 2 Masters. One is in HR/Training, and the other degree is a MBA.

I have many years of experience tutoring online and in person. I do not charge for cancellations if we work online. I also will reduce my hourly rate if you refer me other students such as your friends/family members/school acquaintances. I can go over this info more by email/phone.

We will go over comma rules (there are at least 6 you must know), semi-colons, colons, apostrophes, dashes, and hyphens. We will discuss strategies such as active voice, conciseness, word choice, vocabulary, tone, being specific, rhetoric, and other related concepts. We willl go over the structure of the English section.
ACT Math

ACT Math

If you don't like math or find it challenging, then you really need a confidence boost to help you get the score you want. In school, you probably are trying to get A's and B's on your tests. You can follow a similar process here, but you aim for a C+. What does that mean? Each test is difference, but if you can get about 47 of the 60 questions right, then you should be around the 29/30 score range for math. Can you get a C+ on this section? Of course you can!!! Nearly 40% of the test is pre-algebra/Algebra 1 type questions. You can get almost all of those right. You probably forgot it. The remaining part consists of Algebra 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry. If you're a junior, then you are currently taking this area of math or just recently did. There may be a few problems you don't know how to do on the test. That's ok, We need to work on your recall of prior sections and reduce your silly mistakes. It does take practice, but you can get there!!!
ACT Reading

First, I'll have you do a passage untimed as if it's a school assignment. Once I know your score on that passage, we will determine whether to focus on the time aspect of the test or general understanding. If it's the latter, then we'll go over methods to improve your reading ability. Once you feel confident with that, we'll discuss ways to focus on the timing. Once you feel confident with that, we'll focus on back-to-back passages, endurance, and being a careful reader.

Some students find the Science section challenging. It's the last test, and many test takers are tired by then. I will show you how to do the chart/data parts of the test. All of my student have found it much easier and interesting compared to how they complete it now. There's another section that is very similar to a reading passage. We'll go over ways to organize your questions here to save you time, energy, and probably get more of the questions right.
