I mostly work with students now on the ACT & SAT.

For the ACT, we will go over content that you must know for English & Math. For ex, there are specific reasons when to use a comma. Most likely, you were never taught that. In order to improve your score on the English section, you must learn and study that content. We will work on specific strategies for the Reading and Science sections. For the ACT, we will go over content that you must know for English & Math. For ex, there are specific reasons when to use a comma. Most likely, you were never taught that. In order to improve your score on the English section, you must learn and study that content. We will work on specific strategies for the Reading and Science sections. Once you feel confident with that information, we will work on concepts such as time management, focus, endurance, and overall test taking skills.

For the SAT, we will follow a similar format; however, the tests are slightly different. We will focus on those areas of need to develop your skills to improve your confidence and score.

For the GRE, most adult learners have forgotten general math concepts as well as grammar rules/vocab. We will study this info. Because you want to go to graduate school, you will be motivated to study this material in order to get your Master's Degree.

I have a Bachelors in Psychology. I have 2 Masters. One is in HR/Training, and the other degree is a MBA.

I have many years of experience tutoring online and in person. I do not charge for cancellations if we work online. I also will reduce my hourly rate if you refer me other students such as your friends/family members/school acquaintances. I can go over this info more by email/phone.

I look forward to working with you.

Math

ACT Math,

ACT Math

If you don't like math or find it challenging, then you really need a confidence boost to help you get the score you want. In school, you probably are trying to get A's and B's on your tests. You can follow a similar process here, but you aim for a C+. What does that mean? Each test is difference, but if you can get about 47 of the 60 questions right, then you should be around the 29/30 score range for math. Can you get a C+ on this section? Of course you can!!! Nearly 40% of the test is pre-algebra/Algebra 1 type questions. You can get almost all of those right. You probably forgot it. The remaining part consists of Algebra 2, Geometry, and Trigonometry. If you're a junior, then you are currently taking this area of math or just recently did. There may be a few problems you don't know how to do on the test. That's ok, We need to work on your recall of prior sections and reduce your silly mistakes. It does take practice, but you can get there!!!

We'll go over ways to organize your questions here to save you time, energy, and probably get more of the questions right.

Helpful for SAT prep

He helped me better understand the reading and writing parts of the SAT, he taught me strategies and I learned for the writing portion about punctuation that helped me get more answers correct on the test. Overall, I feel more confident than I did about taking the test because of the practice questions he provides that helped me get familiar with the type of question asked on the test and goes over the ones I did not understand or got wrong.

Highly skilled and patient tutor - adept at working with all levels

Michael W is the answer that I was hoping to find. Micheal W is highly skilled - he can very quickly identify strengths and weaknesses in his students and at the same time, connect easily with them and supports their efforts. He is adept in both English and Math - RARE within the Wyzant ecosystem. He tutors our triplets and all three really like working with him and is effective with our 3 different levels of competency.
