Hello! My name is Tim, and I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2023) with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science. I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University (2025) and I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Political Science at the University of Illinois Springfield. I am a licensed high school teacher in English and Social Studies, with K–12 endorsements in Special Education and ESL. Over the past five years working in education, I have supported students at the high school and college levels, focusing on academic growth, confidence building, and long-term success.

I tutor a variety of subjects including ACT English, ACT Reading, SAT Reading, Government & Politics, Political Science, Grammar, Reading, Writing, Vocabulary, American History, Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Linear Algebra, Geography, and ASVAB, on which I earned a perfect score of 99. I also have a strong record in standardized testing, earning a 35 in ACT English, 33 in ACT Reading, and a perfect SAT Writing score, along with AP scores of 5 in U.S. History, 5 in U.S. Government, 5 in Language & Composition, and 4 in Literature. These experiences allow me to teach both essential academic content and effective test-taking strategies such as pacing, reasoning, and organization.

In addition to teaching and tutoring, I coach high school soccer, which has strengthened my ability to motivate students, build strong relationships, and create structured plans that support individual strengths and goals. I am committed to building a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported and confident.

My tutoring approach focuses on developing confidence that leads to academic independence. I break material down clearly, personalize instruction based on learning style, and aim to help students build skills they can apply long after tutoring ends.

I'm excited to connect and would be honored to support you on your academic journey!
