I’m an MFA graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design with extensive teaching and professional art experience. I have taught art as an assistant professor and worked with students of all ages, helping them develop both technical skills and creative confidence. My work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows, and I have attended international exhibitions and museums across Europe, the U.S., and beyond, giving me a broad, global understanding of the art world. My practice spans painting, photography, film, installation, and conceptual art, and I bring this multidisciplinary approach to my teaching, encouraging students to explore different media, experiment, and develop their own artistic voice.
In English and writing, I have strong experience from three years in a state-winning high school journalism program, a BFA, and an MFA that included a completed thesis. I have worked with students in classroom and one-on-one settings, adapting my lessons to each student’s level and goals to build confidence, clarity, and practical skills.
My teaching approach is relational and personalized. I have an eye for each student’s strengths and unique creativity, and I am passionate about providing feedback that helps them find inspiration from authors and artists that resonate with them, lean into their abilities and discover what they already know — to listen to themselves and trust their instincts. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident exploring ideas, experimenting, and growing both technically and creatively.
