Hi there! My name is Imadh, I am a fourth year medical student. I have a strong academic track record and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. After attaining a perfect GPA, I was awarded the Bronze Tablet, the school’s highest academic honor. In medical school I was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the nationwide honors society for medicine. My academic capabilities are reflected by my performance on the MCAT and Step 2 CK, both of which I scored in the 99th percentile.
I have extensive experience in tutoring and mentorship. I have taught everything from high school math, biochemistry, tennis, the MCAT, and more, accumulating 500+ hours of teaching experience. I have experience working with multiple industry-leading test preparation companies. During this time I wrote and edited practice questions that were then used by hundreds of students. More recently, I served as a discussion group leader for second-year medical students at my school teaching them clinical reasoning and preparing them for Step 1.
My philosophy for tutoring is simple. Students need to be given the tools to succeed on their own. That means students need a study plan, test taking strategies, and the requisite content needed to succeed in their studies. As your tutor, I will provide step by step assistance with all three components. I will help you identify what is working and what is not working in your test preparation.
I specialize in giving students a strong foundation in deductive reasoning. Much of test taking is simply knowing how to take a test. Students often have the misconception that they need to master a subject to excel. In reality, strong baseline knowledge coupled with a logical approach to each question creates excellent results.
