Hey I'm Malori! I graduated cum laude from Lindenwood University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since graduating, I have worked for years as a substitute teacher, subbing in all grades between first and eighth. As a mom of two children, I fully understand the influence teachers have on students. The impact of a teacher goes well beyond how much a student learns, but they also affect the student's attitude towards learning and their overall mood when they've finished their lessons.

My favorite, and therefore strongest, subjects are English and History, however I find Science and Math very fascinating lessons as well. In fact, middle school Science and Math are the subjects I sub for in schools the most. It's always so exciting to master a skill, and I love getting to be the one to help young scholars get to that point.

As humans we are always learning new things, even if we don't realize it. I am so passionate about lifelong learning. I love gaining knowledge of new things, so I'm always looking for opportunities to expand and exercise my brain! Because of this, I'm always open to suggestions and resources from students and parents. I want to cater sessions to the student's interests because they will learn better when they can relate to the lesson. Please message me if you have any questions! I'd love to get to know you and set up a session!

Common Core

I became familiar with common core during my time student teaching to obtain my bachelor's degree. As a mom I have helped my daughter learn math using common core methods. As a substitute teacher I have familiarized myself with it more, and I believe in its basic principles to teach students an easier way of learning.
