Divya – Elementary Tutor for K–5 Math, Reading, & Social Studies

My name is Divya, and I am an elementary educator with several years of experience working with K–5 students in both classroom and tutoring settings. I currently teach 5th grade and have experience supporting students in math, English language arts, and social studies. Through my classroom experience, I regularly help students develop foundational skills in areas such as reading comprehension, writing, multiplication, division, fractions, and critical thinking. My background in education has given me a strong understanding of elementary curriculum standards and how to support students at different learning levels.

In addition to my classroom experience, I have also worked with students through in-person tutoring, homeschool support, and helping family students with their academic needs. These experiences have allowed me to work one-on-one with students and tailor lessons to their individual learning styles. I have worked with students who need extra support, as well as students who want to strengthen their skills and build confidence in school subjects.

My tutoring approach focuses on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and use examples, guided practice, and interactive activities to help students fully understand the material. My goal is to help students not only improve academically but also develop confidence in their abilities and a positive attitude toward learning.
