An Exceptionally Knowledgeable and Supportive Teacher
I LOVE working with Maryam. She is the reason I am able to understand second year university physics without having any prior background in the subject. This is one of the most challenging courses I’m taking, and I often feel overwhelmed during lectures. However, after two-hour sessions with Maryam, I am able to understand the equations and material because she gives clear examples and patiently goes over questions and concepts until I fully understand them. She is very supportive, always makes time for me despite her busy schedule, and helps me believe in myself more. After each session, she also sends me the notes we took and answers my questions outside of tutoring hours. Maryam was able to clarify and show me the bigger picture of the process of meiosis I and II in a way that made the concepts much easier to understand. She didn’t just explain the stages step by step, but connected them into a complete story of how cells divide and create diversity. What I appreciated most was that she didn’t just focus on the details but also tied them into the bigger picture: the importance of meiosis in sexual reproduction, maintaining chromosome number across generations, and driving genetic diversity. She gave me both the fine details and the overall purpose, which made the entire topic feel less overwhelming and much more meaningful.

We had our first tutor session with Maryam and it was awesome. I have already set up my 2nd session for my daughter. She was very thorough, patient and did not "teach" at my daughter.
