After spending over 25 years in both Education and Business, I can offer students assistance in improving their analytical skills, problem solving, vocabulary, written and oral skills. I have worked at various grade levels serving K-College students in the following areas: Accounting, Business, Pre Algebra, Proof reading, Vocabulary, Special Needs and Test Preparation. My experience working with a diverse student population will benefit students needing extra support and multiple learning strategies to improve their learning deficiencies.
In addition, I have been privileged to work as Director of Youth Ministry where I have experience teaching the Bible. Currently, I serve as a tutor at our local church after school program designed to assist students improve their deficiencies in Reading and Math (age group 7 years to 18 years of age).
As and effective professional tutor, I approach my students with an action plan. After an initial intake to assess the students learning needs, I identify where the breakdown occurs in the students ability to understand and learn the various subject matters, after which, I create a process to approach the area of deficiencies. I believe in using the multiple levels of intelligence to overcome the students weaknesses and build their confidence.
