Hello! I'm Eesha, and I'm currently a candidate in the Hofstra University/Zucker School of Medicine 4+4 BS/MD Program. I'm majoring in Biology with a minor in Neuroscience.
I believe that effective teaching is not just about mastering the subject matter, but about making learning engaging, approachable, and tailored to each student’s needs. I've always made it a point to pursue challenging coursework, both in high school and college, so I understand firsthand how overwhelming certain subjects can feel. I’ve found that learning becomes much more manageable when concepts are broken down clearly and connected back to the “why,” and that’s the approach I take when tutoring. I’m patient, encouraging, and always happy to explain things in different ways until they click.
I worked as a science tutor at a local tutoring center for two years, where I supported students across a range of grade levels and learning styles. I focused on building strong foundations, reinforcing key concepts, and helping students develop effective study strategies rather than simply memorizing material. In addition, I led a public speaking preparatory class for aspiring Congressional Debaters, where I helped students improve speech structure, argument development, and delivery while building confidence in their communication skills.
Above all, I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with the material. I welcome feedback from students and parents and am always happy to adjust my approach to maximize student success. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session!
