Thank you for your interest! I would love the opportunity to tutor your child! I have 18 years of experience working as a Special Educator and have been taught by the best universities. I hold 2 Masters Degrees in Special Education; Loyola University Chicago as well as De Paul University Dual Certificate and am LBS1 certified, with endorsement in Social Science. In addition, I have taught Masters Classes in Special Education at De Paul University, and Roosevelt University. I have taught disabilities such as; Autism, Behavior Disorders, Learning Disorders, ADD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, and Mild Cognitive Impairment. Currently I home school a student with Autism, and Mild Cognitive Impairment, and she is grown tremendously academically as well as socially and her self esteem has improved 100%!

I use a multi-sensory approach to teaching (sight, touch, auditory, and Kinesthetic). I have been formally trained in ABA for students with Autism. I work strictly with Positive Reinforcement. I am proficient with implementing picture schedules, and have worked with nonverbal students to meet them at their level of functioning. I consistently assess my students, to check for areas of growth and continued areas of need, and communicate with the parents on a daily or weekly basis.

Every student I have taught has made tremendous gains (academically, socially, as well as developed an excellent work ethic). The ages I teach currently are from Kinder to 8th grade, in subjects such as: Language Arts (reading and writing), Math, Social Studies, Science, Independent Functioning, and Social Skills.

I have taught in Self Contained Classrooms, Resource Rooms, and taught in the Inclusion Setting. I can build upon your child's current curriculum, or tailor a curriculum to meet your individual child's needs. I have tutored, along with teaching, for the past 15 years and I can accommodate the hours you need for your child.

I would love to hear from you!
