Professional Interior Design AutoCad and Google SketchUp Tutor

Hello! My name is Krystal H. I am interested in tutoring students who need assistance with architectural/design based programs such as AutoCad and SketchUp. I have always been passionate about the architectural field and have used certain drafting and modeling software as early as freshman year of high school. In high school, I went on to take Mechanical Drafting, Architecture, and Engineering which initially familiarized me with Autodesk programs such as AutoCad, Revit, and Inventor. In 2010, I then pursued a degree that would help me hone these skills.

I graduated from Valdosta State University with a BFA Interior Design in May of 2014. Since, I have been working professionally as a Los Angeles based interior designer with project management and construction management experience. I have experience drafting for interior designers as well as drafting for construction making me familiar with theoretical design ideas as well as their practicality while drafting for building permits and clearances. Learning computer skills is a great way of learning building codes and other clearances as well that are needed in certain professions. I have also used these programs for several years for learning and professional purposes and would be able to teach in any way that is efficient and easy to understand as I remember being a student and understand what it’s like to learn these programs for the first time.

I have copious experience with teaching and leading young adults aged 18-26 and have acted in capacity of tutor/teacher for multiple students in my professional years. I have had many interns who have gained a wealth of skills and expertise working alongside me to supplement their classroom based education. Because I am not too much older than most students I have taught, there has been a certain ease making me very relatable to each individual.
