I am a French native speaker who immigrated to the United States 4 years ago. However, I grew up and attended school in France. Throughout my teenage years, I had always dreamt of something more than the normal life path, hence decided to study abroad in the United Kingdom. Over there, I befriended a multitude of people from all walks of life and all parts of the world. Hearing their adventurous stories pushed me to pursue all my goals.
Although I am now working as an accountant as my main occupation, I taught English in a French Middle School as a substitute teacher before moving to America. This experience ended up being one of the most gratifying and rewarding of my life. Being able to get through the children and teach them skills in order to advance them in life is a feeling comparable to none other. Therefore, I took advantage of the rather small age gap that I had with my students to teach them English using resources they could connect with more easily than traditional ones. My efforts proved successful as I saw real progress in the students that I was able to motivate. Some of them still keep me updated on their educational lives.
Being a French native, I have learnt French as my first language and am therefore extremely competent in every aspect of the French language, from syntax to pronunciation. Moreover, having grown up there, I am familiar with the History and culture of the Francophone world. I would be excited to help anyone needing help with anything French related reach their potential and create a bond with them.
