In the classroom, I have taught grades 2-4. As a student teacher, I have taught middle school math and science. I love using engaging activities to excite my student about learning. I utilize my students interests to engage them in learning. I also utilize games, manipulatives, organizers, and leveled work to help students feel successful and meet their goals.
Beyond the classroom, I also tutored student in small group programs. I tutored math and reading for students scoring below the 40th percentile in math. I also tutored English language learners in writing to focus on important content for answering question and word choice. I also taught small group summer camps on topics in STEM and creative arts. As a teacher and tutor, my goal is to excite and engage students in learning while helping them to feel successful and confident in their work.
