Hello! Are you struggling with high school physics? I understand- and I can help. I'm Jennifer Grady. I've been a teacher for the past 33 years- and I've taught physics for the past twenty years. I specialize in college prep and AP C Mechanics. I have a BS from SUNY Geneseo and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction from Northern Illinois University. I have an additional 32 graduate hours in education from all over, as teachers often do. I'm also a Physics Teaching Fellow with the University of Illinois as part of their IPaSS program. In short, I work with other high school physics teachers from all over the state of Illinois to improve physics instruction at the high school level.
I love teaching physics. I think physics is for everyone. I also think that it is too often taught exclusively as a second math class, which is a disservice to the student and to the material.
I've tutored on the side for most of my teaching career. I specialize in being able to dig deep with my clients to figure out where they are having difficulty- and then working with them to come up with actionable steps to improve. I love it when I see their confidence grow and the light bulbs go on!
