Elementary (K-6th)

I have a Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Buena Vista College, now Buena Vista University, where I earned a 3.43 grade average as a non-traditional student. I have worked with students in grades K-12 as a substitute teacher. From October through May, I worked as a tutor with A+ Learning Solutions and tutored seven children in reading or math. I worked with most of the children individually. Of the seven, six made very substantial gains from pre-test to post-test and attained grade-level skills or slightly better. I used the assigned curriculum which I supplemented with games, books and activities. I have an excellent reference from my supervisor.

English

I have a degree in education with an emphasis in English. I've worked as a teacher for ten years and as a writer for ten years.

Grammar

My degree is in elementary education with an emphasis in English and social studies. In addition to my work in education, I have worked as a writer and have written more than 1,000 articles for print and online publications. My editors often complimented me for writing clean copy, so I guess my grammar skills passed the test!
