Hi! My name is Kelly.

Hi! My name is Kelly.

I specialize in language in that it has always been a deep passion of mine. I believe that language, imbued with its many cultural aspects, is how we open our minds and hearts to a wider community and how we embark upon a journey to achieving peace throughout the world.

Education:
I achieved early graduation with Summa Cum Laude honors from North Central College with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies. I received the 2012 Outstanding Major in East Asian Studies Award, and I studied abroad at Yonsei University in South Korea.

Language Proficiency:
I studied Spanish for (7) years (cumulatively) throughout my high school and collegiate academic careers. I also studied Japanese for (4) years as part of my coursework in East Asian Studies, and I have studied Korean for several years as part of my study abroad experience and for personal recreation.

Tutoring Experience:
Many years ago, I tutored a small group of adult students in ESL via Literacy DuPage, and I have tutored students in various subjects on Wyzant. In 2026, I completed a 15-hour in-person course at my local library pertaining to tutoring individuals and small groups in ESL (English as a Second Language).

Computers:
I also specialize in tutoring regarding computers, primarily general use/operation, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Python, HTML, and SQL. As technology has been an integral part of my life since I was very young, I am comfortable navigating various platforms for personal and professional use. Plus, I am currently completing a Software Engineering bootcamp in preparation to make a career shift in that direction.
