I have been in the substitute teaching role in several different school districts. During these experiences, I was able to step into a new environment, receive new materials, and proceed to download information and strategies that needed to be relayed to students while their teacher was absent.
I also served as a classroom teacher for Peoria School District 150 for three and a half years. During this experience I was able to assess where students were at in certain subjects. Using this information, I was able to generate activities and lessons that would intervene and enhance students' understanding of reading strategies and mathematical concepts.
I believe that my experience in teaching combined with an individual's willingness to learn will end in success!
