I earned a full scholarship to Western Kentucky University, home to the #1 collegiate speech and debate team in the U.S. I competed in both Parliamentary Debate and Lincoln-Douglas Debate, earning multiple top 16 national finishes. In high school, I placed 3rd in Cross-Examination Debate at the Texas State Tournament. Today, I coach students in public speaking and competitive debate, helping them succeed from the novice level to the national stage.

Outstanding Debate Tutor!

I am a law student with no prior background in law. Working with Adam has been a very valuable decision in terms of time and ROI. He is patient, reliable, and flexible with his scheduling. When I have an upcoming debate and need extra last-minute prep, he finds a way to fit me in - which has been a huge help! As a student who works full time, I am very careful where I invest my time, and every session has proven worthwhile. When I bring him arguments, he breaks them down step by step, pointing out perspectives I hadn't considered. More than once, his advice has matched almost exactly what my professors later suggested. I often leave his sessions with something I can implement right away. Overall, my confidence has grown significantly in my argument skills since we first started. I highly recommend!

Adam arrived on time on the first trial session but came unprepared. His instruction lacked substance, as he repeated minor points without introducing new material. He also forgot my daughter’s name, which reflected a lack of attentiveness. When I requested a refund in line with Wyzant’s policy, he declined. Overall, the experience was unsatisfactory, and we will not be continuing lessons.
