Hi there! I'm Sanjana and I graduated summa cum laude from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Sciences (Biology Track) and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.

Here's a little insight into my experience as a tutor. In high school I worked at KUMON, a place where I had studied as a student as well. I spent three years teaching students from Pre-K through 12th grade how to solve reading and math problems in independent, creative ways that were best suited for them.

At Emory, I continued tutoring as a teaching assistant for biology for two years organizing weekly review sessions to help students understand complex processes from bioenergetics to DNA replication. I also volunteered for 2 years with Emory Reads tutoring elementary and middle school students in reading and math at under-resourced schools. A lot of these students were several grade levels behind, and I worked hard to developed engaging lessons to ensure they received the education they deserved.

However, working as an Emory Academic Success Peer Tutor in physics has by far been my favorite experience. Personally, I struggled with IB Physics SL and AP Physics 2 in high school. Constantly told that physics was too hard, I was unmotivated and accepted the fact that physics just wasn't for me. When I started taking physics in college, something started to click. No longer brushing aside concepts like I had in the past, I started noticing the glaring, simple logic of physics. I figured out ways to understand things like kinematics, electricity, and magnetism in much less complicated ways than my professors had presented them. Over the past 2 years as a peer tutor, I developed and adapted lessons for every topic taught in Physics I and II. My only goal is to make physics less daunting and give other students insight into the tips and tricks I have picked up over the past 4 years of taking and tutoring physics.

I look forward to meeting you!
