I am a highly experienced math tutor with over 10 years of tutoring experience, beginning in 2014 while I was in college. I have worked with students at the middle school, high school, and college levels, tutoring a wide range of math subjects including middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and more. My background allows me to adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, whether they need help building foundational skills, understanding new concepts, or staying on track with homework and coursework.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and later completed my Master’s degree in Education with a STEM focus from Grand Canyon University. I am also a certified teacher in the state of Illinois. In addition to tutoring, I spent two years working as a paraprofessional, which gave me valuable experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a classroom setting. I currently continue working in education as a data analyst, where I apply mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills daily.
I primarily tutor students one-on-one and strive to create a supportive, confidence-building environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I enjoy helping students get back on track, deepen their understanding of challenging topics, and develop stronger problem-solving skills. I am comfortable tutoring both virtually and in person at a library, and I work closely with students and families to ensure sessions are productive and tailored to each student’s goals.
