Is getting started with assignments difficult?

Hi! My name is Chris. In high school, I was on the Dean’s List every year. In my MBA program, I scored a 4.0 throughout all four years (and graduated cum laude). In my PhD program, I served as a TA and assisted classrooms of students succeed with the material.

But most importantly, I pride myself on being gentle, friendly, and creating a positive executive function coaching experience for others. I use my personality and rapport-building skills to develop a holistic, supportive, and empowering relationship with students. I know that the study skills I’ve relied on my entire school career have gotten me really far, and I seek to empower others with the same strengths I’ve leveraged.

My longest-serving professional mentor, a distinguished Accounting professor from the Kelly School of Business, has praised me for my ability to bring a group together, and has described me as “incredibly responsible, conscientious, and devoted to any task that I undertake.” I bring this underlying skill-set to all my tutoring to ensure that the students I’m with succeed.

As a personal hobby, I’ve conducted over 1,000+ ESL lessons online for kids and adults. I’ve learned the power of making things simple for younger and non-native English speakers, and this has directly carried over to an enhanced working skill-set with ADHD and ASD students that I work with.

My academic experience has also involved prolific writing. I have published two articles in A journals in Accounting and my PhD mentor gave me the honor of praising me as “the best writer in your cohort”. Thus, I can help students with executive functioning, homework across various subjects, and writing, all in one neat package.

I’m looking forward to meeting with you and getting started on your journey together :)

Send me a message to set up a meeting!
Chris

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is one of my main workhorses in my graphic design workflow. For more than a decade I have been using this program to create logos, graphics, brochures, patterns, and much more. Regarding teaching Illustrator, I have experience with students as young as 9 years old and as old as 68, and my methods adapt to each student’s abilities and interests. With that said, my lessons are 100% focused on my students needs and are kept focused, light, and as inspiring as possible.
Adobe InDesign

Adobe InDesign

I received my BFA in graphic design in 2016 and have been working freelance for 10 years, in addition to working as a director of design for a non-for-profit for 6 years. I specialize in design principles, and I use Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign to create whatever I wish.
Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop

Photoshop is a main staple that I use for clients. From photo composites, packaging design, mock-ups, to graphics creation (and more), I have over 10 years of experience with this program. I have teaching experience with students as young as 9 years old and as old as 68, and my methods adapt to each student’s abilities and interests. With that said, my lessons are 100% focused on my students needs and are kept focused, light, and as inspiring as possible.
College Counseling

College Counseling

I possess in-depth knowledge of the college admissions process in the US and UK, having honed my skills while working for an overseas college admissions group. There, I specifically focused on guiding students towards crafting compelling personal statements that effectively showcased their strengths and aspirations to top universities. This experience has equipped me to support students in developing a well-rounded application that highlights their unique potential.
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

I have over 5 years of experience helping students strengthen their executive functioning skills, stay organized, and manage academic responsibilities more effectively. I specialize in building core habits like accountability, organization, task initiation, and task prioritization—skills that are essential for both academic and personal growth. But executive functioning goes beyond academics—it requires students to shift their default settings around motivation, planning, and follow-through. My coaching helps students not only finish homework but build lifelong habits of clarity, discipline, and consistency. My approach is friendly, encouraging, and tailored to students who struggle with deadlines, overwhelm, and staying on track—including those with ADHD, ASD, or executive function challenges.
Graphic Design

Graphic Design

Graphic design is how I put bread on the table; however, it is also one of the most fun and fulfilling facets of my life. With the skills acquired via real-life experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, I have been able to pan out a successful career track as a freelance designer, and subsequently, live my life as an independent contractor while traveling the world. My expertise lies in the fundamentals of art and design, and in addition, I am extremely well-versed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. Moreover, I am familiar with “user-friendly” design programs such as Canva. Professionally, I have experience with the creation of logos and complete branding, brochures, textile/product patterns, T-shirts, book layouts, book covers, annual reports, business reports, resumes, and much more. I have teaching experience with students as young as 9 years old and as old as 68, and my methods adapt to each student’s abilities and interests. With that said, my lessons are 100% focused on my students needs and are kept focused, light, and as inspiring as possible.
Study Skills

Study Skills

As an experienced Executive Function Tutor, my focus is on equipping students with essential skills like time management, organization, and task initiation. I employ a personalized approach tailored to each student's unique needs, fostering a growth mindset and self-confidence. With a deep understanding of today's academic challenges, I guide students to improve their performance, build resilience, and master their executive functions, ultimately empowering them to excel academically and thrive in all areas of life.
Web Design

Web Design

My experience with web design started with coding in HTML and CSS, and I have build multiple websites, from scratch, using this code with Javascript and PHP plugins. However, as Wordpress and Wix became stronger, I switch to these platforms to streamline my workflow. I have made over a dozen websites for clients over the years using these web designing mediums, and continue to be active in them today. Currently, I only choose to use Wix for my clients because of the ease of post-editing that can be done on the client end. When my client wants to make future edits to the website, they can do so with confidence. The value that I add to building your website is wrapped up in 10+ years of design experience that is pumped into the final product, ensuring a design that will standout amongst others.
Writing

Writing

Do you want to improve your research and writing skills? As a Management-PhD student with an MBA degree, I have gone through rigorous training on how to synthesize ideas into eloquent writing for academia and the "real-world." Thus, I am well-equipped to help anyone in their writing and research endeavors to help improve project or final grade outcomes. My qualifications are corroborated by multiple publications in prestigious academic journals and paper acceptances in over seven academic conferences. These works can be seen upon request.

Great executive function coach

Chris has been working with my son to develop his organization and time management skills. I would strongly recommend Chris to anyone needing help with executive function skills. Through collaborative sessions with my son, Chris has helped him to improve these important skills and instill a sense of personal responsibility and accountability. We have found Chris to be genuine, positive, and engaging and my son looks forward to every session with Chris. We’re grateful for the progress he’s made.

Patient and effective executive functioning coach and tutor

My son has benefitted from Chris' excellent capacity to balance encouragement with structure to improve executive functioning. My son looks forward to the time to meet with Chris. The approach that Chris is taking gives a structure that increases my son's individual responsibility far more effectively than constant reminders from us (parents).

Great EFS and Life Coach

Chris has been very thoughtful, supportive and helpful for our son. He is very easy to talk to . He’s helped out in organizing our son’s life and class load through different techniques as well as discussions. Chris looks at things at a high level as well as a detail level in reviewing the past, looking at the present and planning into the future . My son is definitely noticing a positive difference this semester given his work with Chris.

Relatable, Strategic Executive Functioning Coach for 18yr old

First meeting with Chris to coach my 18 year old college student with ADD on Executive Functioning. Chris is totally relatable and provided great advice and strategies for my son. We are looking forward to long-term coaching with Chris to gain the tools and confidence to work thru the paralyzing ADD that limits my son's executions.

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

Christopher is a definitely a knowledgeable and patient tutor. He began tutoring my grandson several months ago when he was struggling to keep up with his assignments and projects while in the 8th grade. Christopher quickly developed a relationship with him and was able to keep him on track through the end of the school year. He met him where he was and was sympathetic but encouraging and got him through a challenging presentation project which he was feeling very insecure about. My grandson was resistant at first but came to me after that presentation and said he was "now very glad to have a tutor". This is a testament to Christopher's personality and experience. Although it is summer, and he is not in school, we are continuing to have a few sessions and will schedule them again weekly once 9th grade starts. Christopher has been a valuable component of my grandson's education experience and I am thankful for our association with him.
