I am an experienced private tutor specializing in math, reading, writing, and standardized test preparation for elementary and middle school students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree and have over six years of experience working one-on-one with students in grades 2–8. Throughout my career, I have helped students strengthen foundational skills, improve classroom performance, and prepare successfully for selective enrollment and high school entrance exams.
I am the founder of a private tutoring practice where I provide individualized instruction tailored to each student’s learning style. My experience includes preparing students for standardized assessments such as the HSAT, HSPT, and other middle school placement exams, as well as supporting ongoing academic growth in math (including pre-algebra and algebra foundations) and ELA.
My teaching approach focuses on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization. I break complex topics into manageable steps, reinforce skills through guided practice, and prioritize confidence-building. Many of my students have worked with me long term (3–6+ years), which reflects my commitment to consistent progress and strong family partnerships.
