Hi I'm Joseph! I am a University of Illinois at Chicago graduate with Bachelor's of Science in Accounting. I was a Dean's List Scholar, and graduated Cum Laude with a 3.84 GPA. Let me help you achieve similar success. During my time as an undergrad, I found that many of the textbooks and even some of the lectures would hide the important information in an ocean of relatively unimportant background data. Whether it's basic debits and credits, taking a company through the accounting cycle, or even the exacting standards for revenue recognition under US GAAP, I use simple but information rich lesson plans to get to the heart of matter and help you to gain a clear, functional understanding in as little time as possible.

During my time at UIC, I quickly realized I had a talent for helping the other students understand the coursework without making them feel confused or judged negatively for needing help. By my sophomore year I started "officially" tutoring my classmates and by graduation I had three years experience tutoring a total of 60 undergrad students. That experience -- along with the over 100 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practices I've coached -- showed me that everyone has a different learning style. With that in mind, my teaching strategy is to essentially discern your learning style as early as possible in our relationship and then give the information you need in the terms and organizational style that are natural to you.
