“**Daniel Made Geometry Easier!**”

My experience includes tutoring high school, college level and graduate students for over 10 years as a university teaching assistant, lecturer and private tutor. My expertise covers all areas of Mathematics from high school through college, as well as for selected graduate level courses. My approach emphasizes confidence building and mastery of

Daniel is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

If you’re interested in online lessons, message Daniel to get started.

My son said Daniel is a genius and earned the highest grade on a test he's had in a long long while. Strategies, different ways of explaining things, making sure my son got it -- it all came together.

Daniel has been tutoring our 17 year old son in mathematics. His level of knowledge, teaching method and patient approach has resulted in significant improvement to our son's confidence and test results.

Daniel is very nice, easy going, willing take the time to explain things and make sure I understood the topic

Daniel is extremely knowledgeable about the topics we covered - options and margin accounts. He explains concepts thoroughly and is always willing to answer questions.

Focuses on task in hand and goes deep explaining the concepts so my son knows why a formula is used and how they came up with the formula.

Daniel is an outstanding teacher. His knowledge, patience and introduction and explanation of subject matter is perfection. We are so fortunate for our daughter to have his teaching support.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I worked at CNA Insurance for 1.5 years as a quantitative analyst and am familiar with actuarial reserving, survival analysis, annuities and risk assessment. In my current position, I apply statistical methods and machine learning techniques to healthcare applications of risk management and patient outcome analysis. I have tutor actuarial subjects online through Wyzant when they were requested through the math platform.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and can comfortably teach Algebra 1.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with 10+ yrs. of tutoring experience.

I have developed back-end c# for scientific programming and data processing for the last 6 years. I am comfortable with object-oriented programming and lambda expressions, database interfaces and analytical libraries.

I programmed in C++ commercially in the financial industry for 5+ years. My projects included object-oriented design with polymorphism and multiple inheritance. My areas of expertise include development of financial and engineering applications (time series analysis, predictive analytics, risk management and trading algorithms).

Ph.D. on Applied Math with 10+ years of tutoring experience

I held the CFA designation from 2003 to 2013 while working as a Quantitative Developer, VP - Quantitative Investment, Investment Analysis Consultant and High Frequency Quant. My specialties are Derivative Products, Risk Management and Reporting and Quantitative Analysis.

I have over 25 years of software design and development experience in a wide variety of programming languages, including FORTRAN (my Ph.D. thesis), C/C++/C# (my quantitative finance, risk management and performance analysis work), Perl (my quantitative library for a hedge fund), Excel VBA (prototyping for trading, insurance and healthcare), programming environments, including MATLAB (data visualization and analysis for my thesis) and R (predictive analytics and time series analysis for high frequency trading and healthcare), and database management languages, including Sybase (finance), SQL Server (finance, healthcare and insurance) and Oracle (healthcare).

Throughout my career I have followed the principles of object-oriented design and functional programming. Many student requests coming in through the computer science vertical are indeed programming and software design issues that I encounter in my everyday work practice.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with both extensive coursework and TAship experience in ordinary and partial differential equations.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, so I can tutor pretty much all math up to and including sophomore year. For junior and senior years, I can do Applied Math courses (Vector Calculus, Numerical Methods, Differential and Integral Equations, Optimization).

I can teach Geometry at high school and undergraduate levels.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and can comfortably teach Linear Algebra at the undergraduate level.

I have 15+ yrs. of experience with Microsoft Excel, including macros

I have over 6 years of experience solving the problems of mathematical finance, statistics, operations research and machine learning with R. I have written a suite of packages for solving machine learning problems in healthcare.

I held the CFA Charterholder designation from 2003 to 2013. The CFA Body of Knowledge curriculum is substantially more comprehensive than that of Series 7.

In my software development career spanning over two decades, I have worked with almost all languages suitable for scientific programming and mathematical modeling, including SQL. My Ph.D. thesis code was written in FORTRAN on UNIX with MATLAB and database development was done in MS SQL. In my software development career, I made the best effort to follow object-oriented design principles (including functional programming) and make sure that my code was well tested, readable, maintainable and efficient.

I am currently working as a Data Scientist for a major healthcare provider on the North Shore.

I have a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics with 10+ years of tutoring experience.
