As an experienced educator with more than 25 years in teaching and school leadership, I understand that every child learns differently. My goal as a tutor is to help students feel confident, supported, and successful in math while reducing the stress that often comes with challenging coursework. I hold advanced degrees in education, curriculum, and school leadership, along with certifications in Mathematics and Chemistry. Over the years, I have taught and supervised math programs for students in grades 6–12, giving me extensive experience with a wide range of learning styles, abilities, and academic goals.
I have worked with students in classroom settings, small groups, and one-on-one support environments. My tutoring approach focuses on building strong foundational skills, improving problem-solving strategies, and helping students gain confidence in their abilities. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and when lessons are tailored to their individual needs. Whether a student needs extra support to stay on track, help preparing for tests, or enrichment beyond the classroom, I create personalized sessions that are patient, encouraging, and engaging.
Parents appreciate my ability to connect with students while maintaining high expectations and clear communication. I have extensive experience supporting middle school and high school students in Algebra, Geometry, and higher-level mathematics courses, including students who may struggle with math anxiety or organization. In addition to English, I am fluent in Greek and proficient in Spanish, with prior experience supporting multilingual learners.
