I am qualified to tutor Hebrew based on both my personal language-learning journey and my teaching experience. Although Hebrew is now one of my strongest languages, I originally learned it as a second language after moving to Israel. I studied Hebrew formally in school, where I learned structured grammar, reading, writing, and language rules in an academic setting. Because I learned Hebrew step by step as a non-native speaker, I clearly understand the challenges students face and can explain grammar rules, sentence structure, and verb patterns in a way that is logical and accessible.
After becoming fluent, I began helping other children learn Hebrew, both academically and conversationally. This included supporting classmates and younger students with reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and spoken Hebrew. Much of this teaching was done one-on-one, allowing me to tailor explanations to each student’s level and learning style. My own experience transitioning from a learner to a fluent speaker enables me to break down complex grammar concepts and explain not only how Hebrew works, but also why it works that way.
My teaching style combines clear explanations of grammar, learned through formal schooling, with practical, real-life usage, helping students feel comfortable speaking and understanding Hebrew in everyday situations.
