Thank you for the opportunity to share a little about myself. I am 39 years old with a wife and 7-year old daughter. I have worked in the Information Technology for 15 in various capacities from technical writing to analyst to management positions. However, my true passion and educational background is in English and its various facets. I graduated from Purdue University, one of the premiere Big Ten schools in the Midwest, with a Professional Writing degree. This entailed an in depth exposure to technical writing, business writing, creative writing and poetry, desktop publishing, journalism, literature, and so on. I feel I have the ability to convey fundamental techniques of reading, writing and interpreting content (i.e. Literary criticism). Examples include use of active and passive voice, concise wording, methods for expressing ideas and emotions, understanding your audience, etc.
I am also proficient with spelling and specialize in making difficult concepts easier to understand. I also enjoy bringing English (writing, composition, et al) and the Computer Industry together. This includes anything from newsletters and brochures to computer manuals and web sites to business reports and proposals. I am easy to get along with, patient, honest and dedicated to helping people. My style is best suited for jr. High School, High School, College and post-graduate students.
