I am a current student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Neurobiology and pursuing minors in Chinese and Chemistry. I have taught K-12 students math/science for 5+ years and have mentored multiple high school students through the entire college application process for 2+ years. As a current college student, my expertise and advice come from an up-to-date perspective on how the college application process works and how to best present each student's strengths, interests, and personality through their applications.

Throughout both high school and college, my teachers, professors, and mentors were the most valuable resources to me, not only in learning material but also in finding my passions. In high school, I decided to give back by volunteering as a math and science tutor at my K-12 school, working with students in groups, as well as one-on-one. Going into my senior year, I tutored high school students in math, which I now continue online. By working directly with students and their teachers, I've been able to find the best approach for students to better understand material and practice certain skills. Now, as a college student, I have worked as a college advising fellow for 2+ years, helping high school juniors and seniors with their applications, personal statements, and essays. This process includes finding best fit colleges, making a plan for standardized testing, preparing for interviews, brainstorming, editing, and finalizing the personal statement and supplemental essays, and taking steps to transition to independent, college life. The students I have tutored have gotten into multiple top 20 schools in the U.S., along with various honors programs at large universities.

As a tutor for multiple years now, my top priority is providing quality instruction and mentorship to every student, tailoring meetings to each student's needs. If you have questions or would like to learn more about how I can help you or your child succeed, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!

College Counseling

I have worked as an Advising Fellow with Matriculate for the past three years, guiding high school students through every stage of the college application process. In that time, I’ve accumulated over 100 hours of one-on-one advising, helping students identify best-fit colleges, prepare for standardized tests, apply to fly-in programs, build strong resumes, complete financial aid forms, and craft compelling college essays. I’ve also supported students in securing letters of recommendation, finding and applying for scholarships, making final college decisions, and navigating campus resources. My goal has always been to provide thoughtful, personalized support across all aspects of the application journey.
